Visual Culture and Power in Africa – Art, Political Histories, and Transnational Exchanges

The Polish Institute of World Art Studies and the Museum of African Art in Belgrade, are pleased to announce a call for contributions for an upcoming special journal issue of "The Artistic Traditions of Non-European Cultures" journal, which will explore the intersections of artistic production, archival records, and political power across the African continent.
We welcome articles by scholars of African art and visual culture, art historians, anthropologists, historians, museum professionals, archivists, and researchers working across related disciplines.
