12.00h Lecture for museum professionals:
Musée du quai Branly was created by the fusion of the Musée de l'Homme and Musée national des arts d’Afrique et d’Océanie collections. Opened in the very center of Paris, three years ago, it represents one of the world’s greatest museological projects, ranking among the best-equipped museums of our time.
18.00h Lecture for wider audience:
Musée du quai Branly features indigenous art, cultures and civilizations from Africa, Asia, Oceania and the Americas. Mr. LeFur, as one of the originators of the Museum concept, will refer in his lecture to the issues of otherness and Non-European arts as important questions in the Museum practice.
19.30h Opening of the exhibition:
“Tragovi/Traces, Call&Response. The exhibiton will present an array of posters from the Musée du quai Branly, together with the musical instruments from the collection of the Museum of African Art in Belgrade.
